I have 20 years’ editorial experience with several literary genres and in many non-fiction disciplines.

Much of my academic copy-editing experience has been in linguistics and law, working with scholars who are writing in English as their second or third language. I have worked with German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, French and Italian scholars.

As you know, the challenge in such editing is to make complex ideas sound as natural as possible in English.

So far, I have edited 3 published volumes in this way for De Gruyter Mouton, one of Europe’s premiere linguistics publishers.

Beyond linguistics and legal scholarship, I am competent to edit texts from most areas of the humanities and social sciences.

For a line-by-line, thorough, comprehensive edit, the rate is 5 Euro cents per word. For a quicker read-through and clean-up, the rates are lower.
